This property was outside the main Old Quarter so the big...
This property was outside the main Old Quarter so the big plus was that it was very quiet. It also had a great pool. Good air conditioning. Good bed. Good, though basic, selection of foods at breakfast. Good coffee!
It was further from the main tourist part of the Old Quarter than we thought. The top of the lake is a short walk (10 mins slow walk), to then get to the main tourist street is another 10 to 15 mins slow walk. Of course, there are plenty of scooters etc to take you directly there if you want.

Pool you have two options which is good
Pool you have two options which is good Good location large rooms beds were ok. But too expensive when you can get such lovely hotels in the old quarter (without pool) for such cheap prices. They need to up their game with food and service . Would not stay again. Staff didn’t have much English and were not overly helpful when asked advice.
Breakfast was very average indeed - suggest they bug spray as the whole restaurant was full on fruit flies and other bugs. Egg station was ok but no English again so you just got what you got.

Inconsistent wifi. Pool is also used by the public, especially for swimming lessons, so it was usually crowded and noisy.

What was the highlight of Army Guest House
Good place to stay couple of nights
Friendly staff and good service. We used hotel’s airport shuttle service (18 USD) and a driver was patiently waiting us while our flight was late nearly an hour. The hotel itself is like a relic from the communism’s golden era.
Weird smell in the room, like mould or something... Breakfast was not so good.
